Step 1: Home site evaluation.
The site you choose will have an effect on many aspects of the design build process. What opportunities or restrictions does the land present? Do any design restrictions exist? How would you like to use the property? Take into consideration the size of lot, water run off ect.

Step 2: determine the purpose and function of the building.
Number of rooms. What they will be used for. Essential features you want to include. (Indoor or out) Green building materials you want to use.

Step 3: determine you budget.
Determine how much money you can realistically spend on your Project. If you need a loan determine who your lender will be, interest rates, and what monthly mortgage amount you can handle. Bank loans can take weeks or months to finalize so it’s good to start now.

Step 4: design development
This step requires a signed contract and payment to begin. Arayasun construction will walk you through prelim drawings based from the needs, essentials, and budget, ECT. Given by you. The basic floor plan and elevation will be determined. Next architectural detailing and finishing specs are decided. (Space planning, furnisher layout and finish details like flooring, counter tops, finishes, lighting ECT.) Once the Basic design is completed we will do a cost break down and the design will be fine tuned to your budget and style. Resulting is the final set of blue print and construction budget. Total fees for this phase will be determined by how complicated and large the design is and how many revisions are requested.

Step 5: contract documents and permits
*Approve Final Design
*Agree on Contract Terms and Conditions
*All permits are pulled and construction schedule is developed.

Step 6: commence project dream home.
Finally construction begins this can take from 4 months to a year depending on the project. This is a very exciting time watching all your dreams and plans become reality. This is the time you begin to realize how beautiful and rewarding green building can be.
